My name is Annie and I’m an active loan officer with All Pacific Mortgage. I have been blessed to be a part of the Portland community my entire life and love sharing my experiences with others. I am constantly seeking new adventures and am continually amazed that Portland has an endless amount of fun.

For the next year I am on a quest! Each day I will present a new “thing” to do in Portland. I will tie in pictures and videos so you can get to know a few of the folks that are behind the scenes. I dedicate this site to Portland newcomers, visitors, and veterans and hope you can all enjoy the beauty and perhaps some hidden treasures that our City of Roses has to offer. Please share with me your comments, ideas, and experiences and hopefully our paths will meet at one point or another.

Thank you for your support and I hope you will share this site with others.

This site could not be made possible without the amazing group of friends and family I have supporting me. A special thanks to the team at All Pacific Mortgage who have been phenomenal friends and mentors to me, this site would not be possible without your continual guidance.

  4. this is very cool! I’ve lived in the area for 5 years, but I’m moving away in the fall for grad school, in the meantime I’m going to try to do as many of these things as I can!

    Hi Annie,

I just moved back to Portland from Oahu and saw this page on facebook. I vaguely remember my former boss telling me about “365” and how insistent she was that I try Jake’s Famous Crawfish when I returned. Now I remember you are her neice! Small world, love the website–it’s such a great idea.

I love your site here. I used to live in Portland and will be back in the area during a week of September to visit my sister, so I plan on using your site to find fun things to do. I hope you continue to do this long after your year is up.

I came upon your page thanks to a link from Craigslist neighborhood section. This is exactly the kind of thing I would expect from Portland. People excited to share their good experiences with others–very cool. I’ve lived in Portland since I was eight years old (I’m 50 now) and every time I relocated to another area of the country, Portland kept calling me home. I’ve lived in Seattle, Washington DC, Houston, Dallas, Eugene, Allentown, and visited dozens of other unique cities. However, none of them compare to the climate, attractions, people, scenery, and style of Portland. Thanks for putting together your blog. You are exactly what makes Portland my kind of town.

P.S: You should check out Accanto, the new sibling bistro associated with the recently reopened Genoa. I have recently ate at both. Genoa is every bit as good as it always was, with the addition of seriously upgraded ambiance. Note that it is pricy and best left for special occasions. That said, Accanto is quite reasonable, very chic, and some of the best food I have ever tasted in Portland (and that’s saying a lot). Take a look and share with your readers if you agree.

I really like and appreciate the webpage and the facebook updates -thank you! As recent transplants from Sacramento due to my job at Intel, my family and I found this site to be helpful in finding those exciting locations without hearing word of mouth – just browse through the site for what your looking to do that day. One thing as an enhancement request would be to pinpoint each item on a map so that if you find yourself in a specific portion or Portland and there are places that have been detailed by you, we can click and get the info on that in a separate window (there may be 5 right around the corner from where i am right now!!! iphone app for this would be a rockin idea too. Anyone else think this would be a worthy addition to an already rockin site and effort to keep us busy with cool stuff to do and visit?

Thank you for putting together such a wonderful resource! I must admit that I didn’t come across your blog until September 2010. That being said, I have very much appreciated your insight. It was great learning about new places to visit, and being reminded of old favorites. I had the Marjolaine last night at Papa Haydn, something I had not tried there before, and toasted to all the fun things I’ve learned about! It was delicious. Thank you, again!!!
