Day 203: Acadia New Orleans Bistro

Make today about trying something new, 365 fans!  In Northeast Portland, lies the West Coasts most authentic New Orleans cuisine. If you’re in the mood for some Louisiana classics- head-on BBQ shrimp, smokey jamblaya, and rich dark gumbo, then there’s no other place to try but Acadia Bistro.

At Acadia, they pride themselves, not only on the authenticity of their menu, but on the freshness of their fish.  Seafood is their specialty, and they don’t cut corners. The Acadia crew searches the Southern seas for indigenous seafood, and then, they have it shipped all the way to Portland a few times a week, so that it’s fresh every time it hits your plate.

Everything on the menu is not only delicious, but affordable.  And if you’re looking for a screamin’ deal, stop in on Mardi Gras Mondays, where they have a “cheap eats” menu, from which you can order your favorite entrees, for a wallet friendly price.

I rave about the food but, I should also mention that the venue is just as wonderful.  Acadia has a very intimate feel, perfect for a casual lunch, or a date night. The venue, the menu- Acadia is a perfect place to visit in Portland for some authentic New Orleans style treat- they don’t call it southern hospitality for nothing.
